Navajo, or Diné bizaad, is an Amerindian language with the largest number of speakers in the United States of America. According to its linguistic classification, it belongs to the Southern Athabaskan branch of the Na-Dené language family. It is mainly spoken on the territory of the Navajo Nation and its surrounding areas.

The Navajo Nation spans the North-Eastern region of the State of Arizona as well as parts of New Mexico and Utah. Its capital is Tségháhoodzání (Window Rock).

Navajo is the third most widely spoken language in Arizona, surpassed only by English and Spanish.
