Back to birds...still have a few more to post from my February trip to Costa Rica. This is a white-crowned manakin, a tiny little bird (~10 cm long) of the Caribbean foothills, which we saw while out with a guide from Rancho Naturalista. I was particularly happy with this as manakins are quite fascinating birds but I had never seen one before this trip.
