This mottled wood owl was regularly seen from December till March near one of the open grassland and well wooded are in safari zone of Satpura tiger reserve. As owls are known to use same nesting sites and are very sensitive species, seeing a pair of owls using same are for nesting in consecutive years is really healthy sign of the surrounding area.
